The God who loved us first motivates us to love the people that he has placed in front of us (1 John 4:19). God has given us opportunities to serve our immediate church family (Romans 12:4-6) and our neighbors in our community who have welcomed us like family (Luke 10:25-37). Jesus has set us to see our service not for our own glory, but for his, and that in serving others, we are really serving him (Colossians 3:22-24; 1 Corinthians 10:31).
If you are interested in serving with us, we invite you to read through the different job descriptions below. We welcome you to explore various areas of ministry that interest you. Simply contact us below or fill out the form at church, and we’ll work together to find the perfect role for you.
Coffee and Snacks:
It’s a tested theory at our church: Unhurried Time + Food = Conversation. Help foster a greater chance of conversation between our church family members by bringing something to munch on.
Worship Usher & Greeter Teams:
Our goal is to be a remarkably welcoming congregation. Help us achieve that by bringing a smile and a readiness to help someone new at worship.
Church Cleaning:
In our efforts to be a remarkably welcoming congregation, we strive to maintain our facility to the best of our abilities and remain constantly prepared for anyone to come through our doors. Help serve Peace by keeping her clean and pristine for when a gospel opportunity comes through our door.
Caring and Calling Team Members:
Our promise to new members is that when you join Peace, you’re joining a family. That means we have your back. Help lift up our brothers and sisters in Christ in prayer.
Monday Money Counter:
Immediately after our Sunday service, help us accurately count the financial gifts God’s people generously give to carry out our mission.
Women of Peace:
Once a month, the Women of Peace gather for Bible study, fellowship, and assist with planning events at Peace Lutheran.
Sunday School Teacher:
In our efforts to be a remarkably educated church, we believe that our youth face a world that has never been seen before and deserves to know what the Bible has to say. From September-May, help our children learn the foundations of the Christian faith and pass along God’s truth to another generation.
Altar Guild Team Member:
The primary movement of worship is from God to us, and in our worship, God serves us by speaking to us His word. Help prepare the Lord’s table for the Lord’s Supper and other preparation for worship by assisting on the Altar Guild team.
Musicians:
A guiding principle of worship at Peace is that we let all of God’s gifts be used in worship to direct people to Christ and his word. Use your gifts in music to help lead other believers in worship and praise.
Tech Team:
A guiding principle of worship at Peace is that all of God’s people should participate, which includes those joining us in person or those tuning in online. One way to serve “behind the scenes” at Peace and still elevate the work of those people is to serve on our Tech Team. By learning how to control the sound of the worship service or create and play worship slides for the worship service, you elevate the work of our congregation and their worship experience.
